Adam Shapiro
Adam Shapiro (1972- ) born in Brooklyn, NY, is a co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), a pro-Palestinian organization, the stated mission of which is to resist the Israeli occupation using nonviolent tactics, but which is regarded by some as condoning terrorism, a charge ISM vigorously denies. He became famous for staying with Yasser Arafat in his Mukataa compound in Ramallah while it was besieged by the Israeli Army.
