AFL-CIO
American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, commonly AFL-CIO, is America's largest federation of unions, made up of 53 national and international (including Canadian) unions, together representing over 9 million workers. The AFL-CIO was formed in 1955 when the AFL and the CIO merged after a long estrangement.
