Advanced Packaging Tool



Advanced Packaging Tool, or APT, is a package management system used by Debian GNU/Linux and its derivatives. APT simplifies the process of managing software on Unix systems, by automating the retrieval, configuration and installation of software packages, either from binary files or by compiling source code.
