Affiliated operator
In mathematics, specifically in the theory of operator algebras, a closed linear operator a on a Hilbert space H is affiliated with a finite von Neumann algebra mathcal A subset B(H) if it commutes with every bounded operator on H that commutes with mathcal A. In particular, every a in mathcal A is affiliated with mathcal A.
