Academic detailing
Academic Detailing or counter-detailing is an attempt to counteract the detailing done by pharmaceutical representatives to convince doctors to prescribe the latest designer drug treatments. According to the University of Vermont College of Medicine, which offers coursework on academic detailing, the goal is "to promote high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered, cost-effective pharmaceutical treatment decisions.
