Accession of the Republic of Macedonia to the European Union
The membership of the Republic of Macedonia in the European Union is the highest strategic interest and priority for the Republic of Macedonia, referred to by the European Union (EU) as the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), shared by the majority of its citizens and all the relevant political agents. The motto of Republic of Macedonia in its path towards the EU is "The Sun, too, is a star".
