A514
A514 is a particular type of high strength steel, which is quenched and tempered alloy steel, with basic strength of 100,000 psi (100 ksi, where 1 ksi = 1,000 psi) (700 MPa). The trade name T-1 for A514 alloys is extremely common, originally trademarked by United States Steel but now owned by International Steel Group who purchased plate steel operations from USS.
