Abrams Integrated Management

Abrams Integrated Management (AIM) is a program wherein older M1 Abrams tanks are refurbished and restored to 'zero hours' status to ease maintenance requirements. The tanks are shipped to the General Dynamics Land Systems plant and stripped to bare hulls and turrets (even the paint is removed) and rebuilt almost from the ground up, with new armor, electronics, and other upgrades installed to replace aging systems where possible.
