Abbey of Sassenage



The Abbey of Sassenage was situated in the Vercors Massif district of the RhĂ´ne-Alpes, the Abbey was most notable for the Bleu du Vercors-Sassenage cheese originally made by its monks. The distinctive mild blue cheese was first produced by the monks but the recipe quickly spread into the adjacent villages.
