Adin Steinsaltz
Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz (Hebrew: עדין ש××™×™× ×–×ś×Ą) or Adin Even Yisrael (Hebrew: עדין ×בן ישר×ל) (born 1937) is a rabbi who claims to have received Semicha, a special type of ordination permitting serving on a Sanhedrin, and currently serves as the Nasi (President) of a modern attempt to re-establish the Sanhedrin, ancient Judaism's traditional highest religious court. He is most commonly known for his popular commentary and translation of both Talmuds into Hebrew, French, Russian and Spanish.
