Aabenraa



The city of Aabenraa (also Åbenrå, (German: Apenrade) is situated at the head of the Åbenrå Fjord, an arm of the Little Belt, 38 miles (60 km) north of the town of Schleswig. Its name— Aabenraa, dialect Affenrå— meant originally "open beach" (Danish, åben strand).
