Accusations against Israel of war crimes during the Al-Aqsa Intifada
Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have condemned Israel's responses to the al-Aqsa Intifada as violating international law. Such accusations of criminal conduct generally fall under three categories: reckless endangerment and deliberate killing of civilians, the use of torture and illegal detention and collective punishment.
