Abacavir
Abacavir (ABC) is the most powerful nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NARTI) used to treat HIV and AIDS. It is available under the trade name Ziagen™ (GlaxoSmithKline} and the combination drugs Trizivir™(abacavir, zidovudine and lamivudine) and Kivexa®/Epzicom™(abacavir and lamivudine) .
