Active Measures (Russian: "Активные мероприятия") are a form of political warfare conducted by the Soviet secret police services (Cheka, OGPU, NKVD, KGB, GRU, FSB, and SVR) to influence a course of world events Mitrokhin, Vasili, Christopher Andrew (2000).
