Aardwolf MUD
Aardwolf is the name of a MUD computer game, established in 1996 by a group of players from the defunct "Aardvark" MUD. It opened to the public in December 1996, and quickly became one of the most popular MUDs in the world, usually having over 400 players online at any time.
