Académie Royale de Musique
Théâtre de l'Académie Royale de Musique (was also known as the Théâtre Impérial de l´Opéra, Le Rue Peletier, or simply, Le Peletier, but more familiarly as the Paris Opéra) was the name of the theatre which housed the Parisian opera and ballet companies from 1821 to 1873. It was designed by the architect Debret, and its construction was completed in only one year, replacing the previous theatre which had occupied its space.
