ACLU v. NSA
ACLU v. NSA is a lawsuit filed on January 17, 2006, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on its own behalf, and on the behalf of three other organizations and five individuals, against the National Security Agency (NSA), to challenge its so-called Terrorist Surveillance Program (see: NSA warrantless surveillance controversy) and the alleged NSA call database.
