Act Utilitarianism
Act Utilitarianism, a form of utilitarianism, is a theory of ethics that states one must consider the potential consequences of their actions, and from that, make a decision that would then generate the greatest amount of pleasure. Therefore, the minimization of consequences or pain yields a maximization of pleasure.
