Bartok (computer science)
Bartok is a Microsoft Research project to create an optimizing compiler and a managed runtime system, efficient enough to be used for use in developing OS kernels. "Bartok" makes use of a strongly typed intermediate language, derived from functional languages, to enforce robust typechecking to catch as many bugs, which may cause run-time problems.
