Basic (behaviour)
Believed to have been coined by patrons of the underground music scene in Bristol towards the beginning of the 21st century, basic is a slang term which refers to behaviour that is normally associated with those less cognitively gifted individuals: "I cant believe you missed that shot—you're so basic". In the normal population, basic behaviour is usually evident after a long night/weekend and/or heavy drug consumption.
