Basque Country (autonomous community)
Basque Country (Basque Euskadi, Spanish PaĂs Vasco) is an autonomous community with the status of historical region within Spain, the capital of which is Vitoria-Gasteiz (Vitoria is the Spanish name, Gasteiz the Basque name). It is part of the larger Basque native lands, which are also called the Basque Country (Basque "Euskal Herria").
