Batán Grande Reserved Zone

The Lambayeque developed between 700 and 1350 on the north coast, taking as the first center the zone of Batán Grande (900 - 1000) and then 10 kilometers towards the south-west, up to Túcume (1100 - 1350) and his limits for the north up to Piura and for the south to the vale of Chicama. His origins go back to the end of the culture Moche, happening for the influences of the Huari and of the Cajamarca, in such a way that a new ceramic and iconographic style originated.
