Battle of Horseshoe Bend (Bloody Lake)
The Battle of Horshoe Bend also referred to as the battle of Bloody Lake, was fought at a pond formed by the Pecatonica rive at “Horseshoe Bend”. Three Militia volunteers are killed in the action, and a fourth seriously injured.
