The title Baron Howard of Glossop was created for a younger son of the 13th Duke of Norfolk in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1869. The death of the last Viscount Fitzalan of Derwent made the Barons Howard of Glossop next in seniority to the Dukes in the Howard family.
