Balhae
Balhae(hangul:ë°śí•´), (698 - 926) was an ancient kingdom established as the successor to Goguryeo, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. After Goguryeo's capital and southern territories fell to Unified Silla, Dae Jo-young, a former Goguryeo general, established Jin, later called Balhae, by uniting various Korean and Malgal tribes.
