Bandeirantes
Bandeirantes were participants in the Bandeiras, expeditions organized by the inhabitants of the then poor village of SĂŁo Paulo dos Campos de Piratininga together with allied Indians to enslave other Indians, recapture runaway slaves, and mainly to find precious metals and stones.
