Battle of Caldiero
The Battle of Caldiero took place on October 30 1805. Marshal André Masséna with 37,000 Frenchmen, encountered the Austrian 50,000 strong army, under the Archduke Charles of Austria, who were posted in the village and on the heights of Caldiero.
