Battle of Crooked River
The Battle of Crooked River was a skirmish between Latter Day Saint (Mormon) forces and Missouri state militia unit from Ray County under the command of Samuel Bogart. One of the principle points of conflict in the 1838 Missouri Mormon War, the battle resulted in the "Extermination Order" and ultimately the expulsion of the Mormons from Missouri.
