Battle of Aranzueque The Battle of Aranzueque was a September 1837 confrontation at the village of Aranzueque, Spain during the First Carlist War. The battle pitted the troops of the pretender to the Spanish crown, Carlos V, against the troops of the Queen Regent Maria Christina, led by the general Baldomero Espartero.
Battle of Arausio The Battle of Arausio took place on October 6, 105 BC, at a site between the town of Arausio (modern day Orange, Vaucluse) and the RhĂ´ne River. Battle of Asiago The Battle of Asiago or Battle of the Plateaux (in Italian: Battaglia degli Altipiani), nicknamed Strafexpedition ("Punitive expedition") by the Austrians, was a counteroffensive launched by the Austro-Hungarians on the Italian Front on May 15, 1916, during World War I. Unexpectedly, it took place in Trentino (now in northeast Italy, then part of Austria-Hungary) after the Fifth Battle of the Isonzo (March 1916).

Battle of Aydın The Battle of Aydın or "The defence of Aydın" (tr: Aydın savunması), 27 June 1919 to 4 July 1919, was a series of wide-scale armed conflicts during the initial stage of the Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922) in and around the city of Aydın in western Turkey. The warfare, as well as the burning of several quarters of the city (principally Turkish, but also Greek) and consecutive massacres made several thousands of victims, Turkish civilians, Greek troops and Greek civilians, according to converging estimates.

Battle of Azukizaka (1542) In the first battle of Azukizaka, Oda Nobuhide defeated Imagawa Yoshimoto, setting the stage for his son, Oda Nobunaga, to become one of Japan's greatest warlords. Despite the defeat, Imagawa continued to expand his territory until 1560, when he faced Nobunaga and was killed in the battle of Okehazama.
Battle of Azukizaka (1564) The second battle of Azukizaka took place in 1564, when Tokugawa Ieyasu sought to combat the growing threat of the IkkĹŤ-ikki, a sect of warrior monks who were strongly against samurai rule. The Ikki consisted of samurai, monks, and peasants, many of whom were vassals of Tokugawa.

Battle of Badung Strait The Battle of Badung Strait was a naval battle of the Pacific campaign of World War II, fought on the night of 19 February – 20 February 1942 in Badung Strait between the American-British-Dutch-Australian Command (ABDA) and the Imperial Japanese Navy. In the engagement, the four Japanese destroyers, defeated an Allied force that outnumbered and outgunned them, escorting two transports to safety and sinking the Dutch destroyer Piet Hein.

Battle of Bandiradley The Battle of Bandiradley in Somalia began on December 23, 2006, when Ethiopian and Puntland forces, along with a Somali militia representing the nascent semi-autonomous state of Galmudug under Abdi Qeybdid, attacked the forces of the Islamic Courts Union (ICU) defending Bandiradley. The fighting pushed the Islamists out of Bandiradley and over the border south into Adado district, Galgadud region, by December 25.
