Bab al-Wad



Bab al-Wad (, "The Gate of the Valley"; Hebrew: שער הגיא, "Sha'ar Ha-gai") is a point on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, 23 km from Jerusalem, where the road begins to ascend into a gorge between cliffs. It is to the east of Yavne in the area of the armistice line, and south of Imwas (Emmaus), at coordinates .
