Balloch, IPA: 'bæ:-ləx, (Gaelic: Bealach) is a small town in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the banks of Loch Lomond. The name is a corruption of Scottish Gaelic bealach meaning a pass in hills or mountains.
