Battle of Nördlingen (1634)
The Battle of Nördlingen was fought on September 6, 1634 during the Thirty Years' War. The Catholic Imperial army, bolstered by 18,000 professional Spanish troops under the Cardinal-Infante, won a decisive victory over the Protestant army of Sweden and Saxony.
