Ballinskelligs



Ballinskelligs (Irish: Baile na Sceilge meaning "Town of the Steep Rock/Crag" ) is a village in the south-west of the Iveragh peninsula (Uíbh Ráthach) in the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region of County Kerry, Ireland. The crags in question are Skellig Michael (Sceilg Mhichíl) and Little Skellig an ancient monastic colony which lies off the coast from Ballinskellings.
