Bahr El Ghazal



Bahr El Ghazal (Arabic: بحر الغزال ) was an administrative region in southern Sudan during the colonial era that has since been divided into three separate administrative areas - North Bahr al Ghazal, West Bahr al Ghazal and Warab. The name is still commonly used, particularly in media accounts on southern Sudan, to describe the general area of the three new states.
