Death of Slobodan Milošević
The death of former Serbian and Yugoslav president Slobodan Milošević in The Hague, where he was being tried for war crimes at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, caused a stir and was a major political event, especially for Serbia. Milošević died only months before the verdict was due in his four-year-old trial.
