Davlat Ismonov
Davlat Ismonov was the opposition candidate for President of Tajikistan in the 1999 presidential election. Although Tajikistan is not officially a one-party state, Ismonov only gained 2% of the popular vote compared with over 97% for the country's president, Emomali Rahmonov.
