Damietta



Damietta (Arabic: ‎ مدينة دمياط, medīnat dimyāt) is a port and the capital of the governorate of Domyat, Egypt. It is located at the intersection between the Mediterranean Sea and the Nile, about 200 km (124 miles) north of Cairo.
