Daniel H. Hastings
Daniel Hartman Hastings (26 February 1849 - 9 January 1903) was governor of Pennsylvania from 1895 to 1899. Although he was only 12 years old at the outbreak of the American Civil War, the young Hastings made three successive attempted to run away from home and enlist in the Union army, each time stopped by his father.
