Deccan Plateau
The Deccan Plateau (Hindi: डेक्कन, दक्शिण), is an elevated area making up the whole of the southern India tableland and extenting over eight states. It is a vast plateau lying east of the Western Ghats, encompassing most of Central and Southern India.
