David Chase



David Chase (born David DeCesare—although some sources list his birth name as David Del Cesare—August 22, 1945 in Mount Vernon, New York) is an American television writer, director and producer. He is best known for creating the successful HBO series The Sopranos, about a modern Mafia family living in New Jersey, which debuted in 1999 to almost instant acclaim.
