David Denton

David "Lucky" Denton (born 4 July 1874 in Wakefield, Yorkshire, died 16 February 1950 in Wakefield, Yorkshire) was an English cricketer, an attacking batsman who had a long career with Yorkshire and played eleven Tests for England. His nickname came from his habit of surviving the numerous chances that his attacking batting style naturally created for the opposition.
