David Leimdörfer
Rabbi; born at Hlinik, Hungary, 17 September 1851; educated at his native place and at Zsolna, Waitzen, Budapest, Presburg, and Vienna. He became a chaplain in the Austro-Hungarian army; from 1875 to 1883 he was rabbi at Nordhausen, Prussia, and since 1883 he has been rabbi at Hamburg, where he is also principal of the school for religion and of the Jewish high school for girls.
