Davson-Danielli model
In 1935, Hugh Davson and James Danielli proposed a model to explain the cell membrane consisting of a phospholipid bilayer between two layers of globular protein. Hydrophilic heads of phospholipids are towards proteins, forming hydrophilic zone.
