Economic history of China
The economic history of China has its roots in the quest of Chinese settlers for economic gain thousands of years ago. China has often been the largest and most advanced economy in the world and is now taking back its position as the world leader, making up almost sixth of the world economy and contributing the largest share of growth to world economy.
