Edward Dwyer (baseball)



Edward James Dwyer (1897-1951) was a right-handed pitcher, who played for the New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds. In 1919, while pitching for the Yankees in a game against the Detroit Tigers, he threw a baseball 98 miles an hour, the fastest speed recorded at the time.
