Eleutherodactylus cystignathoides



The Rio Grande Chirping Frog or Mexican Chirping Frog (Eleutherodactylus cystignathoides) is a small Leptodactylid frog found from the southern United States in scattered locales in the state of Texas, and south into the Mexican states of Nuevo LeĂłn, Tamaulipas, San Luis PotosĂ­, and Veracruz. It is a terrestrial frog, that lays its eggs in moist areas of soil and leaf litter.
