Electron-Cloud Effect
The Electron-Cloud Effect (ECE) is a phenomenon associated with particle accelerators. When a charged particle is accelerated in a particle accelerator, the charged particles may disturb stray electrons in the chamber, which in turn generate more electrons when they hit the walls of the accelerator tube - through Secondary emission.
