Elementary operations
In linear algebra, elementary operations are actions that transform a system of linear equations into an equivalent system, that is, one having exactly the same solution set. Equivalently, elementary operations are actions that transform a matrix into an equivalent matrix, or one having the same reduced row echelon form (row canonical form).
