Edwin Muir



Edwin Muir (15 May 1887 - 3 January, 1959) was a ScottishEncyclopædia Britannica, "one of the chief Scottish poets of his day"New Criterion "the Scottish poet Edwin Muir" poet, novelist and translator born on a farm in Deerness on the Orkney Islands in the remote northeast of Scotland. Remembered for his deeply felt and vivid poetry in plain, unostentatious language with few stylistic preoccupations, Muir is a relatively little known but significant modern poet.
