Ekron
The city of Ekron (Hebrew עֶקְרוֹן, Standard Hebrew ʻEqron, Tiberian Hebrew ʻEqrôn, alternate spelling Accaron) was one of the five Philistine cities in southwestern Canaan. It was a border city on the frontier contested between Philistia and the kingdom of Judah at a site (now Tel Mikne) near the small village Akir.
